Project Experience
• Hosted SharePoint Installation (Blackbird LLC, Hawaii) – currently in its pilot phase, this project involves provisioning Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Project Server 2007 in a hosted configuration to be accessed remotely by subscribers interacting SharePoint as a managed service.
• APCSS SharePoint Extranet (Asian Pacific Center for Security Studies, Hawaii) – designed and deployed SharePoint Portal Server 2003 for APCSS in Honolulu in a dual-facing intranet/extranet configuration. Performed portal site branding and developed custom team site templates. Provided training and full documentation including disaster recovery plans.
• SharePoint Enterprise Architecture (NETWARCOM Hawaii) – prepared a SharePoint Portal Server 2003 architectural roadmap for the deployment of three regional SharePoint implementations in the Navy OCONUS network. Developed capacity plan, infrastructure design, backup/restore procedures, and long-term migration strategy.
• Information Sharing Portal (AF ACC) – a multi-tier SharePoint application to allow users to exchange and share documents across a firewall in a highly-secure environment. The application uses custom Web Parts and Web Services to stream documents as binary data over HTTPS between two SharePoint server farms and perform security scanning and filtering to prevent unauthorized transfer.
• SharePoint Portal Server Migration (PACAF) – served as team lead for the deployment of Live Communications Server 2003 as part of PACAF Headquarters’, migration from SharePoint 2001 to 2003. Included planning, testing on a mirror network, installation and configuration, automated deployment of Windows Messenger 5.1, client lockdown through AD Group Policy, and documentation for system accreditation.
• Automated Clinical Practice Guidelines v. 4.0 (Tripler Army Hospital) – an ASP.NET web based application using SQL Server and Oracle databases to track obstetric monitoring information for each week of woman’s pregnancy from detection through birth.
• Staff Tasking and Collaboration System (MARFORPAC) – an XML/XSLT based web application providing task delegation and tracking capabilities.
• Enterprise Knowledge Management Portal (USARPAC) – a Digital Dashboard 3.0 and Site Server 3.0 intranet portal using customized web parts to provide access to Exchange public folders, consolidated calendars, announcements, high priority news releases, and application shortcuts.
• Gateway v.2.0 (PACAF) – a Digital Dashboard 2.0 and Site Server 3.0 intranet portal to consolidate links and news from across the command.
